Here’s a great gift guide for different sorts of people
Soccer star
Buy: For someone who likes their footy, visit their favourite team's website to see if you can buy a pretend newspaper front page with their name on it! If you choose one without a frame, this can cost as little as about £12. If you want to spend less than that, hats, scarves and key rings also make great gifts.
Make: Make a mini obstacle course for them to dribble their ball around and practise their soccer skills. Use anything you like. Why not decorate old plastic bottles and food containers in the colours of their favourite team?
Green fingers
Buy: If you know someone who loves to spend time in the garden, get them some fruit or vegetable seeds. From carrots to courgettes and beans to beetroot, they'll have great fun growing their own healthy food.
Make: Find an old plant pot and make it look super-cool by painting it with bright colours and a funky design.
Mega collector!
Buy: Do you have a friend or relative who is always collecting things? Buy them a magnifying glass so they can spot things to put in their collections! Why not get one for yourself too, so you can go hunting for treasure together?
Make: Start your friend or relative their very own stamp collection. Just save stamps from letters you or your family have received and stick them into a scrap book.
Animal lover
Buy: Visit the Oxfam website to find out how, for just £5, you can buy a share of a farmyard on behalf of your friend or relative. This will pay for clucking, mooing and baaing animals, providing African families with eggs, milk and fertiliser.
Make: If your friend or relative has pets, why not offer to feed their budgie once a week or take their dog for a walk at weekends. You might also want to create a certificate called "Perfect pet present" to give to them!
