They’re one of the hottest bands on the planet, and
now JLS have recorded the official single for Sport Relief 2012!
The idea of Sport Relief is to raise money for some of
the poorest people in the world. The cash is used to help children and adults
in the UK and abroad who perhaps don’t have a safe place to live or maybe
cannot afford the medicines and hospital care they need.
JLS’s song is called ‘Proud’, and Aston, Oritsé, JB
and Marvin recorded it after going to Africa to meet young boys who live on the
streets of Kampala in Uganda. Sport Relief money is going towards helping
these boys to get an education and escape the dangers of street life so that they are safe and happy.
‘Proud’ is set to raise lots more cash for the charity
when it is available to download from 18 March and goes on sale in shops the
day after.
JLS will also be performing a special one-off afternoon
concert for Sport Relief at London’s O2 arena on Saturday 24 March, during the
Sport Relief Weekend – and they will be joined by some very special guests,
including Olly Murs!
